21st March 2020

This was our first meet up in the Virtual room

We reflected on the way things are now;

We recognised each other and the connections between ourselves;

Then we all practised the Sitting Meditation.

and had tea  …

It is a word @Michelle 😊

This was the first time we met up in the virtual space.

It worked really well and I encourage you to have a go at setting up your connection to the virtual room

We all reflected on the way the world has changed since the dawn of the COVID – 19 virus. It is starting to sink in to ourselves, our local community and the world at large that this is going to be a transformational period in our stories.

We have seen examples of this and shared them with each other. By hearing these stories we recognised our own suffering and the suffering of the members of this community. It was not a sad meeting but one characterised by hope and solidarity.

We practised the sitting meditation. I personally felt that although it was the furthest I had been from the group in space, it was one of the most connected experiences I have had since the Empty Meadow project started.

It is hard to put into words the direct experience of the practice. It is often said that this awareness transcends words and yet is so obvious to the practitioner and easily recognised in others who follow the path.

Practise again

Now more than ever it would help to make a donation via PayPal.

meeting place

Stay Connected

In this challenging time it might be helpful to use the virtual meeting place to stay connected. Some of the community live alone and the experience of isolation can bring suffering.

We agreed that it would be helpful to host a meeting in the evening that would be quite informal just to stay in touch.

Join Us at 1900 GMT Monday -> Friday
Starting 23rd March

We can do a guided practice if it is helpful – depends on who is there.

Looking after ourselves means taking care of our Body - Feelings and Mind Please take take of yourself.

Followed by the 4th, 11th, 18th April

If you have enjoyed meditating as a group, tell your friends.
